The Developers of New Stanton Park have closed the existing route of NCN67 with the promise of providing a replacement route. This has been built but, 8 months after the original scheduled date, it is still not open.

If you want better cycle routes that interconnect, in a proper, safe, network, you need to take part in the Mayor’s Local Transport Plan consultation

Derby City Council still rated poorly for Active Travel Capability although Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire have improved their ratings.
More effort needed.

A few years have passed since Derby hosted the East Midlands Cycle Forum.
Cycle Chesterfield had picked up the baton to host a reinvigorated Cycle Forum.

Discussions with the City Council about the flaunting of the yellow line parking restrictions on Duffield Road have all been unsuccessful.

The Council’s (lack of) action means that motorists can reasonably feel free to ignore all yellow line parking restrictions near to schools – surely not what the Derby council tax payers want?
