We’re pleased to see that the Nutbrook Trail (NCN 67) through New Stanton Park has just (16th July 2026) reopened after a year of campaigning to get the developers to meet their planning obligations and for Erewash Borough Council to actually enforce the agreed planning conditions.
Now that the route is open it is a big improvement on the old route as it removes a dangerous junction where users of the route had to mix with lots of heavy lorries. The new route is totally off toad and built with a good quality surface and width.
