We’re pleased to see that the blockage on the route of National Cycle Network 54 at the Museum of Making (Silk Mill) has now been fixed after being closed for most of the year and requiring a diversion along Sowter Road.
The route runs under St Mary’s Bridge on a boardwalk which was damaged by the floods earlier in the year (and, I think, by vandalism). Derby City Council Parks Dept have now repaired the boardwalk and the route is reopened.
Alongside the work under the bridge, some of the brick path between the Museum and the river has been repaired – fixing the problems with the bricks being loose and creating a hazard to cycles.
