After a bit of nudging, it’s good to see the city council has carried out some well-overdue maintenance to one of the cut-throughs to the Riverside path from Riverside Road in Pride Park.
Drivers regularly exceed the 30mph limit along here and it’s a very narrow shared-use path. Pedestrians were forced to duck under the overgrowth here.
Visibility is radically improved at the junction between the cut-through and the shared-use path alongside the road.
Vegetation management may seem a bit dry but it’s important that cycling, walking and wheeling routes remain attractive to all users.
