A few years have passed since Derby hosted the East Midlands Cycle Forum.

Park where you like near schools
Discussions with the City Council about the flaunting of the yellow line parking restrictions on Duffield Road have all been unsuccessful.
The Council’s (lack of) action means that motorists can reasonably feel free to ignore all yellow line parking restrictions near to schools – surely not what the Derby council tax payers want?
New SmartParc cycle path

New cycle filter in Allestree
A new (small) piece of infrastructure opened this week in Allestree at the junction of Allestree Lane and Kedleston Road (outside the Markeaton pub). A “cut through” road has been restricted by narrowing, some bollards and legal restrictions to prevent motor traffic from using the cut-through.
