Advocate for Cycle Transport in the East Midlands Mayor’s Big Transport Conversation
The new, fifteen year, Local Transport Plan (LTP) for the East Midlands is being consulted on right now. It is the opportunity to get more and better cycle transport infrastructure where we live.
If you want better cycle routes that interconnect, in a proper, safe, network, you need to take part in this consultation.
We’d like all Derby Cycling Group members to please take part by answering the online questionnaire before 8th February 2026 and advocate for more and better cycle transport infrastructure and planning which makes cycling a more attractive and safer form of everyday transport.
The draft LTP supports active travel, but it is essential that people respond to the consultation and say they agree, otherwise people with a different agenda may sway the Mayor to focus on other kinds of transport.
You can access the questionnaire here: LTP Questionaire for Individuals
Some notes to help fill in the questionnaire and highlight our main “areas for improvement” are in our members briefing
