Since you can now buy a new inner tube in the Pound Shop for (guess what?) ……… £1, is it worth repairing punctured inner tubes any longer?
It is DEFINITELY worth repairing your punctures. I just can’t get enough of that lovely grey dirt on your hands when you’ve taken the wheel off, and the gorgeous smell of vulcanised rubber which lingers on your hands all day afterwards……well, er maybe not.
BUT, how how good are £1 inner tubes? Will you get more punctures as a consequence of using them? Could they be more prone to fail without a thorn or nail sticking into them?
