Note that due to scheduling problems, the location for the event has now moved to the Yaffle café above Soundbites and then, after 11am, to the Function Room at The Brewery Tap which is the old Royal Standard on Derwent St.

Encouragement to discuss in twos or threes: “What are the top 5 things that the Government could do to help cycling?”

10:00 Welcome and Introductions – updates and info. “Give one group success in last year – and two priorities/hopes for this year.”

10:20 Round up of what groups are engaged with locally and the key issues for them.

10:50 Move to Brewery Tap

11:00  Simon Geller – Keynote speaker “Cycle Nation and CTC” and “News from Sheffield Cycle Campaign”

12:00  Ride.  Cycle facilities included in Connecting Derby, inner ring road scheme.

1:15  Lunch at Brewery Tap. Spot charts – “Our choice for the government’s top five actions!”

1:45    Workshop1 “Transport and Land Use Planning”  How to engage with the planning system

2:30    Refreshments

I am a regular cyclist and long term member of the DCG, although only active in the last 3 years. I've always enjoyed leisure cycling and have also commuted by cycle when my job has allowed.
