The 2025 AGM of the Derby Cycling Group was held in June 2025. This was well received by the audience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A series of images of the recent infrastructure improvements around Derby can be seen here<\/a> (thanks to James Bailey).<\/p>\n\n\n\n Also thanks to all those involved in the organisation of the meeting and for those attending and supporting the Group.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We were pleased to welcome Alan Simpson, the regional Mayor’s Sustainable Travel Ambassador who gave an interesting talk about his approach to his new role. He also provided advice on how best to engage with the Mayor’s office and other decision makers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In particular, he advised that everyone should (urgently) review the recently created report calling “to strengthen rail and bus links and improve walking and cycling rather than spending it on new roads”<\/a>.
