Regular quarterly meetings focus on different topics and the May meeting is to discuss &#8220;Road Safety&#8221;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The questions and answers from March 2022 meeting focusing on road safety can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.derbyshire-pcc.gov.uk\/public-information\/performance-scrutiny-meetings\/performance-scrutiny-meeting-focusing-on-road-safety-30-march-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> and you may wish to follow up on some of the topics. See <a href=\"https:\/\/www.derbyshire-pcc.gov.uk\/public-information\/public-information-secondary\/performance-scrutiny-meeting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> for details on how to submit questions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Details of 2022 meeting<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Update April 2022<\/strong> &#8211; the meeting has now been held and all the questions and the responses from the Police can be found <a href=\"https:\/\/www.derbyshire-pcc.gov.uk\/public-information\/public-assurance-meetings\/performance-scrutiny-meeting-focusing-on-road-safety-30-march-2022\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Derbyshire&#8217;s Police and Crime Commissioner regularly meets with the Chief Constable at a Performance Scrutiny Meeting and puts questions that the public have submitted. The <a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.derbyshire-pcc.gov.uk\/news\/latest-news-police-and-crime-commissioner-invites-public-questions-on-road-safety\/\" target=\"_blank\">next meeting (March)<\/a> will be focusing on Road Safety and you may wish to submit a question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><s>The deadline for submission is the 14th March &#8211; visit <a href=\"https:\/\/bit.ly\/PSMQuestions\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">https:\/\/bit.ly\/PSMQuestions<\/a> <\/s><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>All questions and the answers are published after the meeting on the Commissioner&#8217;s website &#8211; see <a href=\"https:\/\/www.derbyshire-pcc.gov.uk\/public-information\/public-information-secondary\/performance-scrutiny-meeting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many Road Safety issues for the police to address and you may want to consider some of<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/dent.org.uk\/bicycle-theft-in-derby-data-analysis\/\" target=\"_blank\">Cycle theft<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Close passes<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speeding enforcement<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speed limits (and 20mph zones)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Disregard by motorists of restrictions (e.g. bus lanes)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pavement parking<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8230;.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>when submitting your question. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Update Feb 2023 &#8211; a further meeting with the Chief Constable is set for 16th May with the deadline for questions to be submitted by 6th March 2023.
